How does Simon Baker's character Patrick Jane in 'The Mentalist' do the things here can? Is it really fiction? No. Funny enough, there is a lot of science and truth behind what he does. Some of the techniques he uses (among others) involve Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Some of you may have even come across them in a selling seminar.
